Once again the urge of teaching back my students stirred up my mind. I tot the students would hav forgotten abt me but wow they still rmb me depite my change in appearance. I am touched, I am truly touched. I can't stop this euphoric emotion from taking over. Although I only stayed ard from half an hour, it feels great. I enjoyed the smiles of students and colleagues. Luv ya...muacks...Oh ya oral exam is coming up, good luck to everyone. Hope that all my stude3nts will perform well for their exams.

I juz watched "Secret" by Jay Chou. It was a fantastic movie, probably the movie of the year. The movie focused mainly on music and Jay ability to command music. The lead characters definitely hav the looks especially "Xiao Yu" who travelled through time via "secret" piano piece. Xiao Yu is xtremely cute! The plot was very touching, even people who are music philistine will be moved by the movie.

The long awaiting outing finally arrived. LingXiang and I co-organised the outing proved to be a success. 14 people(ShuHui, ChiaXuan, YuQi, SiewHui, Jessie Ting, KaiLIn, Eve, SerPing, XinRui, Angel, QingRui, WeeKiat, LingXing and ME) turned up for the outing-the highest no since the last outing at east coast. The class reunion indicated tat the bonding within the class still holds. We met at Bona Vista MRT and went to The Settler Cafe for some bonding session. The Settler is a new place of interest for people to hang out. We played games there and catched up wif the rest. I am glad to hear there most of them are doing fine in uni and army. After havin fun there we went to party world at Clementi. After singing for few hrs, most of them left while LX, QR and I went to hav dinner at mac. We bidded farewell after dinner. Guess what? It was so coincident that I was in the same cabin with our guards man, Yi cher and his "platoonmates".

The short meeting and encounter realli rejuvenated me from the mental and physical fatigue. I hope tat we will hav time to meet out together again soon. All the best to everyone frm 05s01. JiaYou! Perhaps this is juz the beginning of our beautiful and long lasting friendship...

It has been quite awhile since i last updated my blog. Anyway Happy National Day to all. This yr celebration of national day differ slightly from the previous yr. Not only is it a high rated and unprecedented event, the process of preparing for national day adds the depth and meaning to me.

This yr our unit got chosen to organised the event which debut at the marina bay. I was one of the lucky or unlucky(depends on how you view it) ones to be excluded from the actual preparation for the event. A group of us were single out to perform guard duties instead, so we didn't get the chance to perform or even help out back/front stage of the event. We had lots of our wkend burnt and clocked a total of at least 14duties per person. However, the shortlisted 8 including me were given a chance to help moving the instruments for the Chinese Orchestra from Singapore conference hall. The best part was we got to book out early than the rest. Occasionally, we got the chance to go down to marina to see how the preparation and rehearsal worked.

This year everyone is busy wif their stuff -the guys in army while the gals in uni. Thus, I celebrated National Day with my family instead. We walked all the way down from Clarke quay area to prevent potential jamming area at suntec there. After dinner we walked through the seafood walkway to camp outside the NDP. It was flooded with people. We waited for half an hour before the dazzling fireworks lit up the sky. It was beautiful. The fireworks signified the closure of NDP. We went to eat the Hokaiddo ice cream at river front" The Central" there. The shopping was newly constructed. We went ard window shopping. I saw the white shades that I was lookin for. Maybe I will drop by one of these day to get it. Anyway, it was an enjoyable dae.

Now, I hav to pack my stuff and return back to camp for guard duty.

Early in the morning at 1000, I received my army posting. Intially, I thought I was going to Military Police but I was wrong. Guess what? They gave me bridge engineer aka combat engineer. I am going to stuck in seletar camp for 20 months. DAMN. I am so screwed up! Seriously, I dun see any point of serving army. If i'm given a choice I would have long migrated to somelse. Singapore isn't a realli nice place to live in especially when u r a fit guy. In seletar camp, I can forsee that I will be going outfield almost everyday and I have to eat the horrible combat ration(it taste worse than rotten vege). Somehow I have to put on cameo everyday and my face will eventually get ROTTEN. My future is extremely bleak now. I may die or seriously injure during the training because combat engineer is the most high risking thing. I don't think I have a future. All my dreams shattered in an instant. All tat I have worked so hard to achieve can go down to drain. I am super negative about my vocation now. Have you ever wonder what is worse than hell? ARMY!!! ARMY doesn't make sense to me at all. Where is my freedom? My army life sux. To all those going to senseless vocation: good luck and live well.

My apologies for the foul language used in previous post. I was trying to portray how people in army usually communicate which I found it quite disturbing for me. Perhaps I should have used a nicer way to describle...Never mind I shall continue with the army story.

During the 7th wk of our army we were forced to shift from the usual accomodation area in Ladang to Rocky Hills. Through the name it seems tat Rocky Hill sounds cool to stay in but wait things always go what u expected. Rocky Hill, originally the old SISPEC( place where sgt are trained) was a horrendous place to step foot in. Although the bunk was bigger than our previous one in Ladang, it was filled with dirt and dust tat can easily reach up to 5cm thick. The toilet bowls were prone to choking. Occassionally, spooky and unexplained stuff does happen e.g platoon-mates saw figures which disappeared in an instant, lock will open on itself. During my stay there, I am glad tat I did not actually encountered any weird occurrence. I can't imagine if I happened to face one how am I going to react. Our slping time at Rocky Hill was pathetic. We onli managed to slp from 12 to 5. When other companies were resting in their bunks located in Ladang, we can onli sit in the training shed where birds will fly past to shit.

Through the 9 wks, I could see people from different family, school background and people who possessed draconian characters. Frankly speaking, I had a slight culture shock when I first stepped foot on tat island becoz commanders there used tremendous amount of expletive and majority were smokers. (I hate smokers) They were boorish in their language. What amazed me was they can construct sentences with at least 1 crude word in each sentence. They always find excuses to cover up thier mistakes and poor planning. In army, trainings weren't as easy as it seems. However, through the darkness one can always find light tat illuminates their way. In army, I got the chance to widen my social circles. Friends like Weiming, stanley , weesong and many more may nv come by if not of army. Yet this doesn't change my initial perpective of army: time wastage. If i'm given a choice I would not wanna be part of it.
